Why you should try Veganuary in 2020

Why you should try Veganuary in 2020

If you don’t already know, there is a huge movement called Veganuary (a combination of the words vegan + January) which encourages people to go vegan for 1 month, they provide you with a ton of recipes and resources to help make the change and guide you throughout your journey. I think it is a great opportunity for anyone that is vegan-curious, and the community behind Veganuary  is truly inspiring. A lot of non-vegan businesses are also participating by adding special vegan menus, or expanding their ranges and if demand is high, they will usually keep it on the permanent menu.

So why go vegan?

There are a lot of reasons why individuals change their lifestyle to a vegan one (one that emits animal derived ingredients such as meat, dairy, leather, fur, gelatin, etc), however the main three reasons are for the animals, for the environment and for the health benefits. There are a ton of resources which explain each positive impact in more detail, so here is a non-exhaustive list of documentaries, individuals and Instagram pages to help you on your vegan journey.

There are no rules to how you should approach veganism. Take your time, do what feels good and remember to not be afraid to make mistakes and ask for help.
